WELCOME TO REBEKAH GRACE CERAMICS
ARTIST BIO
The Artist Behind Rebekah Grace Ceramics
My name is Rebekah Grace Furlong. I grew up in Southern California in the LA area where I attended Valley Christian High School. There, I was blessed to discover ceramics and have been in love with the art form ever since. I moved to Reno after being recruited for the university dive team.
Unfortunately, during my sophomore year of college in the fall of 2016, I suffered what ended up being a career ending back injury. That year I endured grueling pain while being pushed both physically and mentally; I felt completely isolated. I found relief in my faith and through art, though I continue to endure daily back pain.

In college I studied ceramics under Rebekah Bogard, Richard Jackson, and several other amazing artists. I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno the spring of 2019 with a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Special Education and a minor in Ceramics.
Currently I am back home where I belong in CA, working from my messy garage studio where I continue to be inspired to create. My physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual struggles continue to shape my art and how I view the world. It is my hope to one day teach ceramics and my dream that I might be able to share my passion for it with my community.

As a Christian, I believe that part of God’s desire is that I share the gospel. But as an introvert, that calling has always been something that I have struggled with. Through ceramics, I have found that I can voice my thoughts, feelings, and beliefs without speaking a word. Ceramics has created, for me, the opportunity to share my story of healing and touch people’s lives in a way that I could not on my own.
